Every day, readers from all over the English speaking world want to connect with the Man Booker Prize. A new website being created by UXB London will soon enable lovers of literature, students, would be winners and journalists to engage with fiction at its finest in a host of new ways.
User centered design
The site is being developed around the needs of users and will provide readers with access to the kind of tools that have come to define the so called Web 2.0 era. Tools that strengthen engagement and build rapport with readers through active participation will help position the prize for the future.
See behind the scenes
Sir Howard Davies, Chair of the judges for 2007, will share his thoughts through his blog, providing a fascinating insight in to the selection process. Further developments include richer content such as video, podcasts and author readings.
Developing new readers
As a truly global brand with enormous reach and influence, the Prize needs to be seen as leading the way in online strategy. Using digital communication in an up to the minute, intelligent and inspiring way, will help maintain the prestige of the Prize, engage new audiences and extend the reach of literature across the globe.
