Thin Cities Poster Design

Producing artworks along the length of the Piccadilly Line for PfA's most ambitious project to date.

Inheriting the name and identity created by artist Nils Norman,one of the participating artists, we are helping PfA roll out Thin Cities, PfA's largest project so far. Involving 8 artists and many stations along the line Thin Cities is scheduled as part of the centenary celebrations of the Piccadilly Line.

Invisible

The project includes a series of new artworks commissioned by Platform for Art. Each work responds to the theme of past, present and future and is inspired by the travels of the 14th Century explorer Marco Polo, as retold in Invisible Cities, the book by Italo Calvino.

Unmissable

Each artist has looked at different aspects of the 100 year old line and created work that offers new perspectives on our city. The sheer scale of the undertaking is turning one of our most used transport channels into a space for art, the size of which is unlikely to be repeated soon.
