FSA – Food Hygiene Illustrations
Putting a message across in a visual language everyone can understand.
The FSA knew that many of the UK's increasing immigrant communities find work in the catering industry. From small restaurants to large catering companies, many people working in the UK have only a basic command of written and spoken English.
Keep it clean
That presents a challenge when trying to put across the vital importance of good hygiene in food production.
Testing, testing
The FSA worked with us to address the challenge. Firstly, commissioning different types of illustration to test with target audiences and then in finessing the route these people preferred.
Words and pictures
Our solution was made available in 16 languages but it could just as easily be read in pictures.
