Bromley Healthcare
Quantitative and qualitative research uncovers insights and user led innovation to shape community healthcare delivery in Bromley.
Bromley Healthcare was a new organisation created by people from the Community Provider Unit (CPU), a division of Bromley Primary Care Trust (PCT), and Bromley GP's. The new organisation aimed to provide superior healthcare services to the population of the London Borough of Bromley.
Introduction
We were approached to examine and understand the online requirements for the new healthcare organisation. From the insights we gathered they asked us to help them develop a specification for their future online presence.
Objectives
- Carry out analysis of healthcare sector websites
- Identify user needs for the internet and intranet
- Compile a list of content and functional requirements
- Engage staff in the development of their online communications
Methodology
We held three round-table discussion groups and an online survey that covered both internal and external user groups. We needed to get an insight into the feelings of both stakeholder groups in order to develop integrated solutions of value to both parties.
Insight
Everyone involved wanted clear and easy to use online tools. Staff wanted the website to contain clear, readable and usable information about their services and how people access them. They also felt that the Intranet should be used to improve communication across the organisation, helping to improve all services.
Outcomes
Having completed the research we are worked with Bromley Healthcare to develop a specification for their online communications, covering all target audiences and channels.
Interim website
We designed and built a simple yet informative website to help the Bromley Healthcare Project communicate it's aims and objectives on the road to becoming Bromley Healthcare.
