An ideal candidate would be able to make use of Javascript, and the great frameworks out there with special attention to detail and cross-platform support.
Your role
You will be working within a small development team and will be responsible for the front-end development of customer websites. UXB has a number of exciting up-coming projects that you will be getting involved with as well as maintaining and supporting legacy websites.
Essential skills:
- Experience in creating accessible websites
- Experience coding HTML and CSS (including HTML5 and CSS3)
- Good knowledge of browser and device compatibility with applicable fallbacks
- Solid Javascript skills in jQuery
- Experience in, or full confidence in ability to implement responsive designs
Advantageous:
- Experience of LESS CSS
- An understanding of typical jQuery plugin designs and jQuery UI
- Experience of PHP
- Experience of using an MVC PHP framework (Kohana or CodeIgniter highly advantageous)
- Good understanding of Linux and comfortable on the command line
- Experience of unit testing or test-driven development
- Understanding of relational database systems (MySQL)
